Fresh Breath Tips

  1. Brush your teeth at least twice a day with a non-foaming toothpaste such as Retardex, specially formulated to beat Bad Breath.
  2. Clean between the teeth every day with floss or Pro Flosser and/or an interdental brush or stick like Denti-Brush and Denti-Styx. This area is a great place for trapped food and bacteria to rot and cause Bad Breath.
  3. Gently cleanse the tongue with a tongue cleanser, such as the OOLITT eXcel, which is designed to reach the back of the mouth. 80% of Bad Breath comes from the surface of the tongue. The tongue cleanser should go as far back as you can comfortably go, as the tongue is a major influence on Bad Breath.
  4. Chew sugar-free gum in-between meals to increase the saliva flow, which helps to reduce the incidence of Bad Breath.
  5. Avoid over-indulging in spicy foods, garlic and onion.
  6. Reduce the consumption of coffee, tea and alcohol, all of which have a drying effect on the mouth.
  7. Use an alcohol-free rinse and oral spray, such as Retardex, designed to eliminate Bad Breath.
  8. Gargle with an antibacterial oral rinse, such as Retardex, to clean as far back down the throat as possible.
  9. Visit your Dentist and/or Hygienist regularly. Bad Breath can be an indicator that there is a problem with the gums, such as gingivitis or periodontitis.
  10. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep the mouth moist.
